Britta Jonas studied art under professors Martin Hohnert and Carl - Emanuel Wolff at the Dresden Academy of Fine Arts. Britta Jonas lives and works in Dresden and Frankfurt am Main. As well as her three-dimensional work and making animated films, silk-screen printing on various materials is also
an important part of her oeuvre.

Since 1993 Irina Claußnitzer has been head of the silk-screen workshop at the Dresden Academy of Fine Arts. In addition she manages the RAUTEDRUCK – silkscreenprint workshop. Since 1990 she has printed screenprints (serigraphs) on paper and other materials for well-known Dresden artists.
During the many years of our work together we have been able to realise various projects in which printing on textiles has been important (as an exemple:
our co-operation with the Frankfurt fashion designer Lili Maras http://www.brittajonas.de/kleid.html).
From this the idea grew of working together to develop various series of exclusive quality foulards distinguished by the complexity of their production
by hand, the limited number made and the fine materials used.
We wish those who are addicted to our scarves much joy!
